The Critical Order is a site that's an amalgamation of all sorts of reviews. You'll see video games, you'll see movies, comics, theatre, whatever that's new that I am able to see. Regardless, I respect all opinions, so please respect mine. If you have a suggestion for something to review, please post in the comments!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review
A game so good where if I even point out a single criticism, I'll be DDOSed and get death threats. YAY!

We now interrupt your regularly scheduled programming for a console review. Because nothing really came out this week that I cared about.

Bayonetta 2 Review
It's Thanksgiving weekend, I'm lazy, I'm doing a Nuzlocke of Pokemon: Omega Ruby, and I've just spent the past week playing the hell out of Super Smash Bros for Wii U. And yet, I still need to find time to talk about Bayonetta 2, one of the best action games I've ever played, but in a way that's quick, fun, and shows you all just how amazing the game is in the most minimal effort possible. It's laziness, it's just laziness. So here's two people summoning God to shoot a naked man into a dragon's mouth while flying a fighter jet.

Super Smash Bros Retrospective: Brawl
Today is the release date of Super Smash Bros for Wii U. Before everyone goes off and spends the rest of their days playing this game, let's take a quick moment to close out this retrospective with a look at its immediate predecessor, Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Hyrule Warriors Review
I feel like I don't get to talk about The Legend of Zelda as often as I should on here. If we're being perfectly honest with ourselves, Zelda is one of the most important and innovative game series that ever existed in the history of this medium, but the past few years haven't exactly been kind to the series. Yes, I am a Nintendo fan, but I will fully admit when a series has reached a point of stagnation. Since the release of Twilight Princess, the franchise has done well, but it hasn't emotionally gripped me the same way that other games in the series have. Phantom Hourglass, Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D, and even Twilight Princess itself have left me not as enthused as I thought I would be. Skyward Sword was a phenomenal game, but the franchise has been relatively quiet these past few years. And so we get Hyrule Warriors, an attempt to give a brief bit a of life into the series to tide us over until the release of the next inevitable Zelda game.

Mario Kart 8 Review
If you've noticed. it's been over two weeks since Mario Kart 8 has come out. Now you may be asking yourself why this review is coming in so late, and the answer is simple. Not only was I busy taking care of E3 news and I couldn't get it out in time, but I wanted to be sure that I had fully completed the game. Over the course of two weeks, I have gotten gold on every single Mirror course AND completed a 32 course circuit in the game. There's a lot of content to this game, and I loved every second of it.

E3 2014: Nintendo Edition
With the last conference finally done, we now have Nintendo's line up for the near future. Is it all it's cracked up to be, or will the Wii U struggle again this year?

The Mario Kart Retrospective: Mario Kart 7
And now we've reached the end of our little retrospective. 7 games over the course of a little over a month, all leading up to Mario Kart 8's release in two days. And now, we close out this little retrospective with Mario Kart 7, a game that tries to mix the best elements of the series together to mixed results. I think. It's complicated.

Super Mario 3D World Review
Regardless of what console a person owns or their own taste in games, all gamers can agree to one universal truth about the industry: Mario is the greatest video game icon of all time. He's endured for several decades, everyone knows who he is even if they don't play video games, and his games have been some of the greatest and most influential games ever released, period. I will fully admit however that the past few years haven't been so good for him. His last great game, Super Mario Galaxy 2, was released in 2010 and since then, there's been a stretch of mediocre to outright boring games thanks to the New Super Mario Bros. series, a series that never really changes or makes an innovations at all. Enter Super Mario 3D World, a game that tries to reinvent how Mario games are played. And I'm happy to say that this game may just be the best Mario game since Galaxy 2.

The Wonderful 101 Review
What's this? A video game? I get to review a video game!? YES!
Yes despite the fact that I mostly write reviews for movies, I am a full blooded gamer. I've been gaming since I was a kid, and I'm still gaming now. I'll get into a blog entry later on about my history of video games, but that's neither here or there. The point is, I'm a gamer, and I love it, questionable state of the industry be damned.
Which brings us to The Wonderful 101, the latest game by Platinum Games, which has made games like Madworld, Bayonetta, and mostly formed from former Clover Studios members that made Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand. So yeah, they've got a bit of pedigree behind them. Does The Wonderful 101 stand up to their more well known games? At times, it really does. At times, it really doesn't.
